Who we are

Welcome to one of the oldest shuls in the area—how old exactly? What we can tell you is that Alvin had his bar mitzvah here.

Our community prides itself on being uncompromisingly faithful to its past while simultaneously embracing and adapting to the new. We believe that our members personify exactly this balance.

We are inspired by the two Torah scrolls the King of Israel was commanded to write: one which remained always in its ark, and the other which accompanied the king even in battle. One scroll represents the tradition that cannot be altered or changed, and the other represents tradition as it interfaces with the evolving world around it. That is Zichron Moshe.

We welcome you to be a part of it in as large a way as you can.

The building has four floors, with three large windows on each floor, and features two green awnings with 'Chabad of Gramercy Park' written on them. The entrance is gated with signs indicating it's a Jewish prayer space, and there's a parked silver car in front.
